Finished project....I think

I finished binding off the caplet wrap and need to block it. I am waiting to knit in the ends due to my last "finished project". I finished it according to the directions and can't decided if it's long enough or not. I will post pictures when first blocking is complete.

To quote Lord Dark Helmet from 1987's "Spaceballs"

Oh yes, I will dare to give somebody the raspberry.....jam that is. Can you guess who? Here are a few hints: It's a girl. She LOVES raspberries. I like her enough to pick, cook, & can the raspberries even though I like them as much as I like melons (conversation for another time). I will see her in October. She's moving into the cutest apartment with her hubby. She lives in where it's impossible to take a bad picture outside. She's preggers.

Did you guess? Ok, another hint: I'm not giving it to "Lonestar".

We have a problem Capt-un

I am at a crossroads and don't know which road to take. I have a lot of things on sticks now and don't know what to dive into first. Please help.

  1. Crochet baby blanket - Needs to be completed by the time I see my "bigger" lil sis mid Oct. (Bigger in the sense that she is preggers) Dilemma in working on it now is I have two, possibly three, long days in a car in which I can work on the repeated, repeated, repeated, repeated pattern.
  2. Cherry Tree Hill socks - My first venture into toe up knitting. I am adapting a pattern that calls for DPNs and using circulars instead as it's faster and I don't get the dreaded 2nd sock syndrome feeling.
  3. Cabled socks - I special ordered the yarn and fell in love with it. I only have 1/2 of a sock left before it's complete.
  4. Caplet - I had to check out a book from the Denver Public Library as my hometown libraries apparently don't know about knitting books. I purchased the yarn, etc. and want to wear it this fall.
All interested parties please help. I am in a holding pattern. This has never happened before. I could have possibly been bitten by one of those mosquitoes that carry a virus that makes you unable to decide what to knit next and therefore must abstain from knitting in general.....hmm.......

Friendship

I laughed out loud when I saw this. Thanks to "Want to See My Knits?"

Friendship -- None of that Sissy Crud

Are you tired of those sissy "friendship" poems that always sound good, but never actually come close to reality?
Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship. You will see no cutesy little smiley faces on this card- Just the stone cold truth of our great friendship.

1. When you are sad - I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry basta*#d who made you sad.

2. When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.

3. When you smile -- I will know you are plotting something that I must be involved in.

4. When you are scared -- I will rag on you about it every chance I get.

5. When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining.

6. When you are confused -- I will use little words.

7. When you are sick -- stay the heck away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have.

8. When you fall -- I will point and laugh at your clumsy bum.

9. This is my oath.... I pledge it to the end. "Why?" you may ask; "Because you are my friend."

Friendship is like peeing in your pants;
everyone can see it, but only you can feel the true warmth.

Send this to 10 of your closest friends,
Then get depressed because you can only think of 4.

Update on Nephew's Hat

Just finished it off.....wouldn't you know it, it's a perfect fit for King Kong. Dang! Have to un-weave ends (wasn't thinking of trying it on BEFORE weaving in ends) and tear out a chunk. Eask project that I will put off for another day. (grumble)
