What's happening in my backyard.

Pretties that I planted and now live on my deck...

Dear Pool,

I know that you are feeling neglected. Sorry, it's just too cold. What can I say other than, "Stop giving me the finger and throwing the pool cover off. I can't stand it, too many leaves and cottonwood thingies get in the water and make me insane."

Love,
Me

Just what the doctor ordered...

Today it rained. I was on my way to pick up my kindergartners and was a bit late so I took the shortcut. It involved me walking outside and back in the main entrance. A brilliant plan really. That is, on a dry day. On a wet day it involves getting my shoes wet, walking over a rug, retaining some of that 'moisture' on the soles of my shoes and slipping. Fortunately, the stairs broke my fall. That's right, I fell down the stairs. I only cried for a little bit balled up in a heap at the bottom of the stairs. Lucky me my entire class was there to see me land. I hollered for the teacher and everyone was so kind.

Sadly, my tush is broken, there is a HUGE crack in it! (also a bruise the size of a saucer) I walked around with an ice pack in the back of my pants.

When you think of class, think of me.

Fortunately, we are having the perfect dinner to take my mind off my butt...jealous (of the dinner, not my backside)?

An Ode to Rain

Rain, rain
Go away
Let me stain my deck today.

OR

Rain, rain
Go away
I wanted to use the pool today.

Dear Rowan,

I know you didn't intend for me to fall so hard, but it was inevitable. With the creation of your Rowan Felted Tweed in colorway 150 (Rage) my love for yarn has increased tenfold. I'm not sure if it's the colors you included in the tweed, the beautiful shade of red, or the feel of the yarn as I slowly knit up my Tangled Yoke Cardigan, but you got me. You actually had me at the name....Rage. As in, "I did not go into a fit of rage waiting 2 months while you were back ordered."

I have vowed to knit nothing else until this sweater is completed. I am ashamed to admit that I am knitting slower so I can prolong our affair.

Love,
Me

My name is Seesaw and I have a problem....

Something from the past.

My husband and I were playing around with my new computer and found this. It made me cry. My little boy is growing up. Can you believe he will be 7 on Wednesday?
