Do you like "Flock of Seagulls"?

And I raaaaan, I ran so far away........

Seriously cute!
"Hey Mom! Here is my cute face."...seriously, he said that.

This is what happens when you mix one part active little boy, one part crazy hot winter hat, and one part dry time.

New Kitchen/Dining Room

Here is a shot of the new light, fridge, microwave, wall color, and flooring in our kitchen. You can just make out the new counters too.

Here is a close up of the new counters and our new sink and faucet. (Pay no attention to the dirty dishes, what do you want from me!?!?) I love, love, love it. Can't wait to get the new carpet in. Then, I will show you a pic. of the dining room with the new lights and flooring. Thanks to my hubby and Dad for helping with the counters and sink. Yes, I painted and helped the hubby with the floor. He cut, I locked and measured.

Look At What I Found

Here is the last photo taken of my Grandpa Herbie. It was on Christmas Eve at my house. I found it on my camera. I forgot it was there and thought everyone in the family would like to see it. We all had a great evening that night. He was in great spirits. (Do you see the meat basket we gave him? NO, the food did not stay out of the fridge for a long time!

Working on a new project

So I started making the convertible mittens from my new book, "Not Just More Socks" by Sandi Rosner and lost steam when the weather got warm. Trouble is, I have one mitten finished (minus flap) and am debating on frogging it. I think I'll just let it sit for a couple of months and decide then....

Fallen off the Planet?

Ok, so it may appear that I have fallen off the face of the earth. For anyone who cares, I have not. I have just been busy.

I have been knitting up a storm (pictures to come at a later date). I have also been sewing. I had to, I was running out of bags to store my knitting in!

I have also been busy re-doing our kitchen. We currently have new counters, floors, paint, and lighting. We are waiting for carpet before we put the base boards back up. I think we may need to purchase new as our dog, Porter (pictures to come at a later date), decided to shorten some of the boards with his own sawing technique. Once the weather picks up for the better, we will re-finish the cabinet fronts, very exciting. Being gone from the house for a year has really energized us to fix the things that have been annoying us for the past 8+ years.

TTFN, we have to go carpet shopping.
