As I sit here thinking about entering report cards I find myself going crazy. Yes, it's June. Yes, we are still in school. Yes, my kindergarten classes are showing signs of summer.
We have three days of school left with the "cute ones" and one more day without. Thursday evening I will officially be knitting full time. (Just for the summer of course.) I can't wait. I haven't picked up the sticks lately. I'm a bit sad about that. The end of the year is so busy for teachers that I don't have much personal time.
My little sister and I have been doing our own Jaywalker knit-along. Needless to say, six inches, one frog, and a turned heel later, she has officially passed me and is near completion on the first sock. She's driving down (two day trip) this weekend and I hope to put some serious knitting time in to show her I am no chump. Don't hold your breath, I'm exhausted, it's only 9pm and I am working up the energy to sit in the driveway with the neighbors (We know how to party in my neighborhood!). Who am I kidding, I'm going to bed.....
